Lord have mercy!
St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Kenosha, Wis. fell victim to a vicious desecration of the Divine Mercy image in front of their church.
The Marian Fathers of the Immaculate Conception, who promote the Divine Mercy devotion throughout the United States, manage the parish.
The vandal spray-painted the words, “Ankh e em Maat.”
Father Donald Calloway, MIC, published a photo of the desecration on social media.
Here’s his post below:
Father Calloway’s post reads, “St. Peter’s parish in Kenosha, WI is run by the Marian Fathers. They woke up this morning to find this. Father, forgive them. They know not what they do.”
The Original Divine Mercy Institute also published an interpretation of the graffiti.

Here’s what how some people responded:
Facebook user Milanka Lachman wrote, “This makes me very sad. Christians, in particular the Catholics, are the target. What’s their problem with one practicing peace; love, charity, mercy, compassion; service, justice, forgiveness; inherent dignity, protecting LIFE -especially the most vulnerable life. All is upside down and most don’t even see it. Lord have mercy.”
Sharon Henry, another Facebook user, also said, “This is absolutely heartbreaking…😢. May God have mercy. Come, Lord Jesus. Your people need you.”
Facebook user Lois Shovlain added, “Further proof that Satan believes in God and the Church He established on earth to release souls from Satan’s influence and lies.”
Let us pray the Angel’s Prayer of Fatima in reparation for this blasphemy against God:
“O Most Holy Trinity, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, I adore Thee profoundly.
I offer Thee the most precious Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity
of Jesus Christ present in all the tabernacles of the world,
in reparation for the outrages, sacrileges and indifferences by which He is offended.
By the infinite merits of the Sacred Heart of Jesus
and the Immaculate Heart of Mary
I beg the conversion of poor sinners.”
