Arkansas high schooler saves his money for two years to buy his friend a new electric wheelchair…

When life is difficult and things seem bleak, stories like this can warm your heart.

Tanner Wilson is your average teenager, but he has an above-average heart. He noticed his friend Brandon Qualls was struggling to get through the day with his manual wheelchair. It would leave his arms tired and he would need to take breaks.

Wilson spent two years saving up money from his part-time job at a local mechanic shop to buy his friend an electric wheelchair. He surprised Qualls with the new wheelchair at school.

“It’s been my dream to just have one of these,” said Qualls, according to CNN. “And my dream came true.”

Wilson’s gift didn’t surprise his teachers, according to KARK.

“He loves to do for others,” said teacher Kathy Baker.

The story has gone viral, including this post from the boys’ school district:

The chair is currently located at the school until Qualls’ family can get a car that will handle the new chair.
