Actor and producer Mark Wahlberg recently paid homage to the Blessed Virgin Mary in a video published on his official Instagram account.

While the Sept. 24 video is brief and contains a shoutout to the Hallow App, it also loudly proclaims his love for the Catholic faith and Our Lady.

While praying and making the Sign of the Cross, Wahlberg kneels before a large statue of Our Lady and encourages his followers to “stay prayed up.”

As of this writing, Wahlberg’s video generated almost 240,000 likes, over 5,000 comments, and two million views.

Then in 2016, Wahlberg encouraged vocations to the priesthood for the National Conference of Diocesan Vocation Directors in Boston.

The actor also published yearly Ash Wednesday messages and celebrated his daughter’s First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion.

More recently, however, Wahlberg funded, produced, and acted in the film, “Father Stu.”

He portrayed Father Stuart Long, a boxer-turned-Catholic priest who had a “religious experience” in the hospital and converted to Catholicism, realizing his call to the priesthood during his baptism.
