The original GT40 of the Sixties is too old to be on this list, but that’s alright, because the 2005 Ford GT exists. It was a modern interpretation of the company’s iconic race car, with retro looks, a supercharged V-8, and a six-speed manual.
The ’05 and ’06 GT were slow sellers when new, but have since become highly desirable in the collector market. Considering how well it drives, it’s a wonder the GT was ever out of favor with enthusiasts.
